Privacy Policy

Levo ("the App") is operated by ZEDE LTD ("we", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. ZEDE LTD is the data controller for your personal data.

1. Data We Collect

Only your email address is required. Everything else is optional; declining only turns off the feature that needs it.

Account Data

Your email address, and your name if you sign in with Apple or Google and allow it. With Apple's "Hide My Email" we receive a relay address instead. We also store your device's push token (if notifications are on), your time zone, and sign-in IP addresses and times in our authentication logs.

Profile Data

What you enter during onboarding or in Settings: first name, date of birth, gender, height, weight, target weight, activity and fitness level, training days, equipment, goals, preferences, and an optional avatar.

Workout Data

Exercises (including custom ones), sets, reps, weights, RPE, duration, effort ratings, notes, records, plans, and step walks.

Location Data

Only during an outdoor cardio workout you start, and only with your permission, to draw your route and measure distance and pace. The route is stored with that workout. Location is never collected between workouts, never used for advertising, and never shared with any third party, including our AI provider.

Progress Photos

Progress photos stay encrypted on your iPhone. We never receive them.

Subscription Data

Your Levo Pro status, plan, renewal dates, and purchase events. Payment is handled by Apple; we never receive card details.

Apple Health Data

With your permission, we read your activity (steps, distance, energy, exercise and stand), heart and respiratory measurements (heart rate, HRV, VO2 max, blood oxygen, wrist temperature), sleep, body measurements, date of birth and biological sex, and workouts. We use them for activity and step goals, readiness and recovery scores, calorie estimates, pre-filling your profile, and importing workouts from other apps.

With separate permission we write completed workouts (with heart rate, energy, and distance), effort ratings, and body weight to Apple Health. Selected values are synced to our servers to power readiness, coaching, and cross-device sync.

Apple Health data is never sold, used for advertising or marketing, used for data mining, or shared for any purpose other than delivering the features you use.

AI Coaching Data

Chats with Levo, the AI coach, are stored in your account. When you use an AI feature, the data it needs (such as your message, recent workouts, profile basics, and relevant Apple Health values) is sent to our AI provider (see Section 3).

Levo may save short notes from your chats (goals, schedule, preferences, injuries) and use them as context in later AI requests. Review or delete them in Settings → What Levo knows.

Shared Plans

If you share a plan, anyone with the link sees the plan, your first name, and your avatar. Avatars are automatically checked for inappropriate content.

Usage Data

We log AI usage and coach message counts (for cost and fair-use limits), upgrade-screen views and taps, and exercise names you type (to improve matching). We use no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Contract: to run the App, sync your data, generate plans, targets, insights and coaching, send notifications you enable, and provide your subscription.
• Explicit consent: for health data, including Apple Health data, health details you tell Levo, and coach memory about injuries. You can withdraw it at any time (see Section 4).
• Legitimate interests: security, abuse prevention, cost control, avatar checks, and improving the App.
• Legal obligation: financial records and lawful requests.

3. Storage & Sharing

We do not sell your data or share it with advertising networks. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We share it only with service providers acting on our instructions, each required to protect it at least as well as this policy does:

• Anthropic, PBC (Claude): AI features. Receives your messages, workouts and plans, profile basics, coach memory, and relevant Apple Health values. Anthropic does not train its models on this data.
• Hosting, sign-in, email, push notification, avatar moderation, and subscription providers: only what each needs.

Some providers are based in the United States. Transfers outside the UK or EEA use the Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension. We may also disclose data where required by law.

4. Your Rights

• Access, correction, and export: View and edit your data in the App, or email us for a copy, including in a machine-readable format.
• Deletion: Settings → Account → Delete Account. This does not cancel Levo Pro; cancel it in your Apple ID settings.
• Apple Health: Revoke access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Levo.
• Coach memory: Settings → What Levo knows.
• UK and EU residents: You can also object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

We respond to requests within one month.

5. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting your account permanently deletes your data; links to plans you shared stop working. Encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days. Subscription records may be kept for up to six years for tax and accounting.

6. Children

Levo is for users 16 and older. If a child under 16 has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes

We will notify you in the App or by email before material changes take effect.
